Jurors heard a 911 call Monday from witnesses who came upon Microsoft executive Jared Bridegan after he was fatally shot in Jacksonville Beach. The testimony came during the murder trial of Mario Fernandez-Saldana, who is accused of funding a murder-for-hire plot targeting Bridegan, his wife’s ex-husband. Witnesses initially approached Bridegan’s SUV because it was blocking the road, believing someone needed help, before discovering Bridegan in a pool of blood. His 2-year-old daughter was still inside the vehicle and told the witnesses she “heard a boom.”
