But there is no time for kidding around, we will just dive right into the pool of crap. To skip the installation part, klick me - 6:14

Doom95, the worst sourceport on the worst version of Windows with the worst promo and the worst Doomguy -- Bill Gates himself. This ain't promising, right? And it is just a big mess. I might dig too much on the things shown in the video, but let's look at it:

1 THIS SOURCEPORT IS NOT NEEDED
Windows95 had MS-DOS 7 underdeath. Just launch the game in the dos box .. I mean the actual Dos Box, not the emulator or boot your system in MS-DOS mode. You are fine.

With this being said, why this shit? Okay, DirectX, and with this a higher resolution. Touché! But where is the point if...

2 DOOM95 WILL ALWAYS START IN FULLSCREEN?
Where is the point in this multi tasking operating system to have a fullscreen mode of a game supposed to run on a single tasking environment anyways?

EDIT: According to a comment, it is possible to run D95 in window mode if you set to 256 colours. Makes sense..
And after actually testing it, it works.. But still, a hint could've been shown or it might switch to 256 colours by itself..? But thanks for the clarification!

3 TIMED GAME and DEMO RECORDING FAIL
So I guess the game does not launch DooM with the correct parameters. If the user can do it in DOS just fine, why can't a sourceport do this? The guys coding this crap should have tested it? And it even reads "Levels end in 1 minute". Maybe this applies to network games only, but please do not show it then, and still the Demo recording won't work.

4 STRETCHED PIXELS AND HIDDEN SPRITES
This might be a problem with the pixels, still they could have sorted that out. DooM runs in 320x200. If you use 640x480, you will see it is not only double the size. We gained 80 pixels, and these will stretch the graphics "a bit". It is not THAT much, but it is still enough to feel odd.

5 LOWERED SFX PITCH
Maybe hard to make out, but the sound is slightly different in pitch. Also more for the veterans to be bothered about.

6 MARKER BREAK THE MINIMAP
Yeah, features working fine in the first place glitch the game. What to say about that?

--not shown because not reproducible--
INVISIBILITY HANDLING IS DIFFERENT
According to many sources, it looks different. Not sure if it's good, but DooM wiki describes it as looking trough a glass of water. Why touching this feature at all?

6 CONTROLS
Maybe it is the emulation, but it sucks. There is some sort of delay, as if the Doomguys interal mass calculation is now the same of a Mancubus. If you gain momentum, you have literally to press the CURSOR DOWN key to "brake". This is not a driving game..

7 ENDGAME ANIMATIONS
No one even bothered to play this to the end apparently...
