This took forever to get out. The first time I recorded it, there was no sound. I figured out the problem though, and it won't happen again in the future. I had to replay the entire level, which actually turned out to be somewhat a blessing in disguise, because i was used to all the fights already.
There was a problem though. You will notice that there are three cuts in the video. The first one, which occurs at 1.51.21, is because I left to eat dinner and the recording ended on me by the time I got back.
The second cut occurs at 1.55.04. This is because initially, I had gotten past this entire fight, but ran clean out of ammo in the "baron tower." I may upload this footage as a bonus video. Good thing I made a backup save at the beginning of this fight. This is the hardest fight in the entire map, and probably top 3 hardest fights in all of Sunder, so I was pissed that I had to do it again. I ended up getting so frustrated that I quit entirely for that day.
The third and final cut, at 2.11.16, is two days later, when I decided to try again. I ended up discovering a good strat for this fight, though, so I can always rewatch this video when I get stuck in the future lol.
Fake Story:
Your hunch was correct. You found a portal inside the bloody catacombs that ended up leading back to the demon's heartland. After battling through the dreary hellscape, you come across a massive wooden city, or what's left of it. This was once a massive metropolis, erected in a sprawling swamp. Over time, the land eroded into a massive sinkhole, but the buildings were protected and left elevated above the abyss by the dark magic that built them. Some pathways and ancient roads were untouched as well. They now stand as massive, broken, stepping stones, reminders of the bustling streets that they once were.
The lord of this city, dubbed "The Gnarled King," died long ago. So called because he ruled this swamp kingdom, and his appearance started to take the shape of the land that surrounded him. He was old, wise, and wore long brown and tattered robes, and moss grew on his beard and hair. Even though he is dead, some say his spirit lives on. Legend says you can still hear his whispers echo throughout his overgrown, mossy keep if you listen hard enough.

Serious Review:
This map is really really hard. Even so, I think a max would definitely be possible for me, albeit after a ton of attempts. The hardest part BY FAR is at 1.55.05. That fight completely destroyed me. It wouldn't be so bad if there was a little more cells. If I were I_G, I would also add more rockets to the baron tower part, because I ran out of rockets and cells there not only on this recorded attempt, but also in the cut footage I described above. Also I had a much harder time on the final fight than I thought I would have. I never really figured out a concrete strategy for that part and I just savescummed my way through it pretty much, because I was tired at that point and didn't feel like strategizing.
The map as a whole is awesome. The smaller beginning fights I find the most enjoyable, actually. The visuals are really outstanding too, and it feels like a real adventure. I just wish there was a little more ammo in some places.
