Just a super quick video to show how Training lies when it comes to combos. UTilt to Uair doesn't even work with DI but yeah.
Basically, the game counts anything that's still hitstun as true but you can actually cancel all hitstun with an airdodge on Frame 41. As the Up Air takes until Frame 52 to connect, the opponent has a massive 11 frame window to airdodge. This is something that I only became aware of very recently (somehow lol) so I've had to rethink a lot of my combos. What I would recommend is using Ruben_dal's knockback calculator here to calculate exactly how much hitstun a move has. If your combo requires you to connect on frame 25 and there's 24 frames of hitstun, this will combo (except against Bayo lol).
I'd also recommend going frame by frame in your combo and counting how many frames it takes to reach your opponent with the move. This is especially important for footstool combos that LOOK true but aren't. Head to the calculator, see how many frames of hitstun there are, then count how many frames it takes you to get to the opponent to footstool and see if it's true.
