In my early 20s, quitting accounting to pursue being a magician meant hundreds of tough conversations with my parents.
But despite how tough it was, I never gave up on having those conversations no matter how defeating it felt.
Years later, my dad said, "Thanks for not giving up on us." That moment made every conversation worth it.
