On Disney+, Out of Scale suddenly appears with recreated RKO titles. This is very unexpected, since this 1951 short has – until now – always kept its true original titles. The new version uses the headshot and Donald Duck titles from Sea Scouts (1939), MPPDA 4274, copyright year changed to 1951, before moving on to the original credits and title card. The closing title (featuring the RCA Victor “High Fidelity” line) is likely also from Sea Scouts. This scan is from a 16mm Eastman print dated 1975. All home video releases on VHS and DVD that I know of also have the original titles.
