If you're going to hide underwater, you need a plan other than just sitting there hoping that everyone on land kills each other before noticing that you're still there.
With our God waking up, we get started with three elements of that plan.
1) Make gems by becoming arms merchants to the world
2) Build an ungodly number of lightless lanterns, devices that reveal secrets at the cost of eventually condemning your mages to death by horror
3) Do what Australians do best, and dig a giant ass hole in the ground to extract wealth from.
When I say it like that, it makes us sound like we're bad guys, but it's all for a good cause, I promise.
