Yesterday (5/22/24) I had my first sighting of a pod of dolphins just 300 yards from the coast of Little Plains Beach, Southampton, New York. Seven years of documenting the seasonal marine life arrivals to New England and have never seen a pod this big so early in the season! I watched this pod of at least 15 dolphins was followed my many seagulls and traversed the Southampton Beach area. Look close and you can see one has a good size fish (likely a striped bass) in it's mouth.
