This is a Dolphin VR ReduX tutorial that will show you how to use the Texture Element Overrides and Camera Anchor Tools. These tools found within the emulator, allow you to erase character's heads, bodies and other objects, to make custom first-person views.
Key notes:
These Tools are only available with Dolphin VR ReduX v0.4 2512-579 (Join the Discord below for release info)
Texture Element skip method (Without Camera Anchor)
This method will let you erase any part of a character. Then if you want to zoom in, you will have to use Dolphin VR's Freelook Camera. To ensure the Freelook Camera is working make sure 'Immediately Present XFB' is actually checked off in Graphics/Hacks/ under External Frame Buffer XFB. To learn how to use the Freelook Camera see the Tutorial Video below.
Texture Element with Camera Anchor:
This method will permanently place the in-game camera directly into the character's head position. This method does not need the Freelook Camera unless you want to fine-tune the final camera position. Only downside is, some HUDs, Menus and Text boxes might be hidden. So, if they are, you can make a hotkey to turn the anchor on and off.
