Analysis of the situation of Dollar General opening up in very small towns across the US. Many of the newest stores are located in towns with fewer than 1,000 people. Walmart had a significantly negative impact on the economies of small towns all throughout the US, so here I want to investigate as to whether Dollar General may be doing the same thing to tiny towns. I also look at the issue from the point of view of Dollar General to see if there is actual good to come from the stores opening up in even in the smallest of towns.
