My Top 50 skyscrapers built in the U.S. in the past 50 years. Many of the most beautiful skyscrapers were built in the 1890s-1930s, and then the following decades saw less interesting design as function was often deemed the only thing necessary. But since the late 1960s, architects have designed more interesting high rises, including some quite strange and polarizing ones. Here are my Top 50 favorite ones built in the past 50 years.
