Marine Rescue NSW volunteers have rescued a dog that was swept off rocks near Batemans Bay before managing to swim almost one kilometre to Snapper Island.
A volunteer spent nearly an hour coaxing the dog to safety before it was brought back by rescue vessel and handed into the care of council rangers.
