OneMoreBolt | Does Your Thermostat Work - Simple Free Test Can Tell You Alot @OneMoreBolt | Uploaded September 2024 | Updated October 2024, 10 hours ago.
Working on getting the little odds and ends sorted out for the 1965 Nova Wagon and realized I needed a thermostat. Rather than order a new one, I raided my used parts shelf and managed to scrounge up a handful of units but had no clue if they actually "worked".
So to the kitchen stove I went. Threw them all into some hot water to find out if they worked.
In this video I show you some of the differences in thermostat styles, show a little trick that can really help with getting air out of the cooling system, and share a little educating info on what a thermostat actually does (all too often I hear people saying things that are very wrong when it comes to thermostats and choosing the right one for your application).
Anyway, maybe you'll learn something, maybe not, either way, hopefully you find this entertaining at least.
