Let's clear the air on this once and for all: Sleep training is not abandonment. Sleep training is not selfish. And despite what you might read on alarmist corners of the internet, evidence-backed sleep training poses zero risk to your child's secure attachment or psychological development. 🧠✨
If you choose not to do it that is completely fine! Every family has unique needs, values, and sleep dynamics.

But if you do choose to implement sleep training, you deserve to do so without an ounce of fabricated parental guilt. Secure attachment is built on consistent, daytime emotional attunement and repair, not on whether you respond to every single night waking. A rested parent is a more regulated, present, and safe parent during the day.

Your choices are valid, your peace matters, and you are doing a wonderful job. 🤍
