Peter Helland tries to investigate where the new pope studied his theology, who his parents were and where he grew up to make a reasonable guess what he believes about special creation versus evolution. Peter is only about 3 years older than the new pope and has a very similar background. His conclusion is that it is almost certain the new pope does believe totally different than Jesus, Apostles and the early church fathers on the question of whether God created the world in six days about six thousand years ago or if God created the world by a process called evolution beginning about 14 billion years ago.
