If the infinite knows nothing of the finite, does God love me? Or does God know nothing of me?
Rupert says: ‘The finite loves the infinite in subject-object relationship – but what’s called God’s love for us, is really God’s utter unity with the being that we are. So, it is true to say both that God loves us, or God loves the finite, and that God doesn’t know the finite as the finite.
‘It doesn’t mean that the infinite loves the finite in subject-object relationship in the same way that the finite loves the infinite. What the finite calls the infinite’s love of us is the fact of its utter oneness expressed in the dualistic terms of the finite mind. So it’s both true and not true.’
