New fandom alert!
"Doctor Who" is brilliant. I've started watching it maybe two months ago and I was hooked as soon as Christopher Eccleston said "Run!" I was very sad when he left; he was a great Doctor. But then David Tennant came along and he changed everything. He made the Doctor funny and caring and cheeky and a bit cocky too and so heartbreaking. And Ten's relationship with Rose was amazing. David and Billie have such great chemistry. I cried my eyes out during that beach scene at the end of season 2.
Martha and Donna were brilliant too, but neither one could match Rose, in my opinion. I was so happy when Rose came back; that running-to-each-other scene in episode 4x13 was amazing. Again, I was crying like a baby because they were back together again and all I saw was hearts and sparkles coming out of their eyes. But then a damn Dalek hit the Doctor. My rage in that second could have kill that tin alien instantly! But they had a happy ending (of sorts) and that's all that matters. By the way, wouldn't it be great if they did a show with Rose and Ten.2?? I would so watch that and I bet a lot of people would too.
And then, we had to say goodbye to Ten. When he said "I don't wanna go," rivers fell down my face. David Tennant was such an unbelievably good Doctor and I didn't want him to go. But him leaving gave us another brilliant Doctor, Mr. Matt Smith.
I thought it would take me while to get used to him because David was so good and I was very attached to him, but that scene with the food in the beginning of episode 5x01 made me fall madly in love with him. Eleven is completely different from Ten, but just as good and I'm loving his era. And I'm loving Amy & Rory as well. They are so cute together.
I finished the first half of season 6 two days ago and I can't wait for August 27 to see what happens next. Oh, and by the way, I guessed who River Song was. When they were talking about Melody's DNA and they did the flashback to when River was analyzing that astronaut suit, the idea "River Song is the baby" popped into my head somehow and, as it turned out, I was right. But it's so weird though, isn't it?? I mean, with everything that happened before... Oh well, I guess we'll have to wait for the next episode to get some answers.
ANYWAY, all of this to say that "Doctor Who" is beautiful and you should definately go watch it if you don't already. You will develop a major crush on Christopher Eccleston, want to marry David Tennant and have your own Matt Smith. ;D
I know eveyone is using this song, but it's such a pretty and melancholic song and I thought it would fit perfectly with "Doctor Who." I tried to include everyone evenly, but I didn't really succeed at that. I think you can tell what my preferences are. :)
