Do We REALLY Need EdgeTX in 2026?! 🤯 | Oxbot R1
EdgeTX has basically become the default language of serious FPV radios.
And it’s incredibly powerful.
But… does everyone actually NEED all that power?
After flying the Oxbot R1, I’m starting to wonder whether we’ve made getting into FPV far more complicated than it needs to be.
The R1’s proprietary software is ridiculously straightforward. Bind the quad, set things up, fly. For someone coming into FPV for the first time, that simplicity could be a MASSIVE advantage.
I’m not saying EdgeTX is dead — far from it.
I’m asking something much more dangerous… 😈
If a radio does everything most FPV pilots actually need, but makes it dramatically easier to understand… do we REALLY need EdgeTX?
