I used to judge people quickly—their faces, voices, clothes, tattoos, you name it. I thought I could read people like a book, but life taught me differently.
Some of the folks who looked the roughest ended up being the most loyal, kind, and real people I’ve ever known.
And some of the polished ones? All surface. No depth.
So now, I slow down. I listen. I look for character, not the costume.
