DNA as a memory material possesses several advantages over commercially available data storage solutions, including higher storage capacity, data retention, and lower operational energy. The scalability of DNA data storage depends on factors such as the cost, the latency of writing and reading, and the limited rewriting capacity. During the panel discussion we will analyze the current state of the art of DNA data storage technologies, and discuss the technological challenges and opportunities from the point of view of companies developing breakthrough enabling solutions.
Presented by:
Martin Jost - Kilobaser
Marthe Colotte - Imagene
Tomaž Karčnik - Biosistemika
Ignas Galminas - Genomika
Felix Full - Eurofins
Fabian Schroeder - EkoRefugium
Erika Schaudy - Helices Biological PhotoLithography
Moderated by Jérôme Charmet
This is a presentation from the 2026 Storage and Computing with DNA Conference.
