Oliver Collins Boss Fight No Damage Solo
Level 1 on Enhanced Difficulty 1
Game too easy so Im doing Level one on Enhanced difficulty. I would go all the way to Enhanced+6 like this but I didnt really feel like it.
They got me.
Anyway.
This gonna be the beginning of a new video series: Lv1 No Damage Solo all bosses on enhanced difficulty. Not sure if Ill get through all of them because I feel like the core combat is easy and boring but we will see.
But hey, Im always down to learn a new game.
Ill stick around here til the new GE3 DLC pops up.

This one is a little crazy if you understand Daggers downing. Probably boring if you dont.
With the correct Element Enhance, Dagger can down almost all bosses in about 12-16 Triangle attacks. Alongside Black Lotus Barraging, this is the easiest way to Down bosses in the game. Its especially good considering the Triangle attacks only consume stamina on every second hit or so.
This is super great for team play but theres a problem when you apply this to high difficulty solo play:
With each down, the down duration gets smaller and smaller until eventually its not worth doing anymore.
In other words, if you rely on downs for safe damage, youll run out of your primary source for damage.
Now heres the crazy part.
Daggers Triangle attacks are SSS Tier at downing bosses. But its actual Sword Skills are around D to F tier. They practically have the lowest effect on the Down Gauge (But still have an effect).
Now, I went and memorized the level of effect each Dagger skill has on the Down Gauge.
As small as each respective skills effect is, I trained myself to remember every single skill I used before a down, to know exactly how many more Sword Skills - or how many more Triangle attacks I would need to trigger that down.
Then I push that imaginary Down Gauge until just before the very point where the down is triggered. Then start a Super combo and down with the Grade 3 Dagger skill or Meteor Fall on One Hand Sword in the middle of the combo.
After the first down in this video, I skip using the Sword Skills and just use Triangle attacks to do the same thing. Then for the third down I go back to the old strategy.
Its a hell of a mental task.
But the result either looks like Im just biding time and then taking a risk, or if you understand Im playing for downs, it looks like I can see the future.
...I can see the future.
This video is me curling my proverbial bicep in front of you. But Im standing so close that you might not even know what Im doing.
That bicep is the upper arm of a player who has grasped an uncanny level of experience in this game.
Now Im flexing it in the most abstract ways, hoping you understand.
All so I can show you how deep this game can be.

The first real boss in the game and its actually quite challenging compared to the next 4 or 5 bosses.
I say that, but its still pretty easy.
Queenslayer is dumb btw. Final Journey gives wild damage and Quick dodge for any weapon. The build in this video is an Element buff short of being something very serious at melee damage dealing.
But hey, everything is already easy in this game so I dont need more damage :V
Theres only three or four bosses off the top of my head that will make me seek more damage and make me use my serious Greatsword.
So until then Ill probably stick with the stuff I got now.

Version 2.10 leftovers.
Also using Buster Blade in a video for the first time in like 4 months.
I had to use Buster here because this is one of the few Aragami that just lets you pull up full charge Overkills for free.
Agni Vajra is actually really irritating when you try to fight him like this.
His two fastest close range attacks - Bite & Claw Swipe both have downright retarded hitboxes. Especially Bite.
For Bite, practically his whole forward facing body becomes a hitbox the moment the attack starts. Its active before it looks like it hits. This means that if you are caught under his chest, you can get hit before you see what happens and if you step out, you can even get hit by his back legs. It makes no sense. Why is this even a thing.
The other thing thats irritating is the Expanding Bomb attack.
The bomb is a little too big to see the cue for JG when you are on the far end of it and theres absolutely no merit to blocking it because you get no advantage whatsoever.
Another thing is that you cant see whats going on if you stand in the middle of it and JG, so Agni will catch you with a Claw Swipe afterwards and you straight up cant react. He also really, really loves this attack and will do it twice in a row at close range very often.I dont even understand whats triggering it because its historically been a long range attack.
When the 2.30 patch drops, you should deal with this attack by diving far away as it starts and then diving back to make the bomb appear out of the way.
That damn attack made this video end up taking 11 total hours in recording because I was adamant I wanted to block it. All that time spent losing really good runs to this attack until I was broken down to the point where I said Okay, Im not blocking this anymore.
Well then. Havent been this irritated in a while.
Time to go play Sakura Taisen and have those waifus calm my heart!
