Novak Djokovic told media "I'm prepared, as best as I can be," as he looked ahead to his 20th US Open campaign on Saturday.
The four-time former champion - now 39 - will join Jimmy Connors, Andre Agassi and Feliciano Lopez as the only male players in the Open Era to compete in at least 20 US Opens.
Djokovic finished as runner-up at this year's Australian Open and reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon, but failed to go any further than the round of 16 in his other four tournament appearances this year.
Seeded fourth, Djokovic will face Mariano Navone in his first round match in New York.
