The DJI Osmo Action 6 is officially out, and the internet is flooded with footage—both sponsored and non-sponsored. But does the new flagship truly offer a compelling reason to upgrade? In this video, I talk in deep into the real-world performance of the Action 6.
🤔 Action 4 vs. Nano: The Ultimate Showdown!
In my opinion, the DJI Action 4 remains DJI's best action camera to date, even here in 2025. It delivers a superior, credible, and natural color profile (with 10-bit color) and features the pro-grade D-Log M just like the new Action 6.
Then we have the DJI Nano, a revolutionary small, compact, and modular action camera. The Nano packs a punch with hardware and an aggressive HDR look very similar to the Action 5 Pro. I genuinely love the Nano for its form factor and image quality.
My take? The Action 6 doesn't currently offer anything significantly more than what you can already achieve with the robust Action 4 or the versatile Nano.
🤔 Is the Action 6 Worth Your Money?
With both the Action 4 and Nano providing 10-bit D-Log M, excellent stabilization, and superb image quality, a mandatory upgrade to the Action 6 is not necessary right now. However, I'll discuss why DJI might update the Action 6 over time and how that could potentially change things.
