This is Part 2 of building a DIY solar ground mount. I'm using salvaged metal to build the array. This design is floating and is not anchored to the ground. I'll be installing 3000 pounds of ballast (weight) to keep the array from moving.

Use what you can find to build a sturdy solar array. Solar doesn't have to cost a fortune. I'm doing this cheap. Actually, the only thing I didn't have on hand was a box of screws. The metal frame is galvanized Z-channel.
