Lets begin with the all measurement for our Floor length Designer Gown.
Measurement for the gown in the DIY
TOTAL LENGTH 56 INCH
CHEST ROUND 46 INCH
WAIST ROUND 42 INCH
FRONT 14 INCH
ARM HOLE LENGTH 8 INCH
ARM HOLE ROUND 21 INCH
SHOULDER 16 INCH
ARM LENGTH 17 INCH
ARM MOHRI ROUND 14 INCH
We will be using only saree parts to design and give it a party wear look. We will begin with drafting and marking of the cloth. The first and most important thing is to keep yourself aware of the right side of the cloth.
We will begin with the top drafting; we will make a collar for top design. We will take into consideration for the seam allowance. Follow all instruction in the video for drafting.
Once we are done preparing the top of our gown then we will start drafting for out flare of our gown. This is A-line gown with front slit. We will keep top of the cloth and keep seam allowance for 1 inch and overlap cloth. And then follow the instruction in the video to draft and cut the flare part of the gown. Front and back of the gown flare will be drafted separately. Follow the video.
