In Episode 4 of this video series, UDoit Fabricates a miter saw station with storage for small parts organizers. Today we add the table top, which is a 4x8 sheet of 11 gauge steel 0.120 inches thick. It weighs 163 pounds, which I can lift, but this is so large that it is challenging. You'll see in the video how I get it onto the cart.
Then I get to use my Evolution Circular Saw for cutting the table top down so it has a small overhang. This saw cut right through it like butter!

The build requirements I set was I had to use my Evolution Miter Saw and it needs to be welded together. My goal is to get better at welding and the only way at the moment is to get my practice time in. I designed the miter saw station in Fusion 360 using 2-inch steel tubing with 0.12-inch wall thickness and 2-inch angle iron. And Joseph Fazzio's, Inc. is 20 minutes from my house, making it easy to get metal.
