This simple DIY hope chest storage box is just a simple trunk...no hidden compartments or fancy add ons. BUT, with Christmas on my brain lately, I started thinking about how I could store away all my Christmas decor during the year and then got the idea to use the same place I'll store my stuff as my Christmas tree "skirt."

Of course, that's just one option of how to use it. It works great as a coffee table, end of the bed storage trunk, toy box or entryway bench.
