Love that Anthropologie aesthetic but not the price tag? Me too... this video is all about how to get that bohemian vibe from thrifted vases. I made two dupes for two different sets of reed diffusers and show you how easy it is to make your own diffuser oil. I also wanted to try out this faux ceramic/terra cotta painting technique that uses acrylic paint and baking soda.

Faux Terra Cotta Vases
+ I didn't measure the baking soda... I just went by feel and added enough to make the paint gritty. If you add too much baking soda in where your paint becomes a paste then it is a little too thick and you can either add more paint or a little water.
+ If you don't want to see texture then thin coats are the best way to apply the paint.. but I like uniquely textured vases so the thicker the better - just wait until the first coat is dry before adding a second coat or the first layer will move around.
+ Use any water-based paint you have laying around. Cheap acrylic works great - You can try using interior latex paint as well!!
Decoupage Vase
