The Discover Card Countdown to Green prior to the 2002 Pepsi 400 presented by Farmer Jack did a long discussion regarding the dreaded aero push. As aerodynamics in NASCAR increasingly became a major factor on finding that edge of performance, unintended consequences came about when aero push started to become an issue on having competitive races, especially at the 1.5- to 2-mile racetracks.

It's interesting to see almost 25 years later that aero push is now worse than ever. It shows just how difficult a problem it is to solve.
