Did you know the area of Whetstone gets its name from a prehistoric mark stone? Originally called the "White Stone" and believed to have been a luminous quartz crystal, the stone we see today is actually an 18th-century replacement sitting right on a powerful ley line.
In this video, we explore the ancient geography of the Middlesex forest, trace the ley line mapped out in Alfred Watkins' The Old Straight Track leading to St. John the Baptist Church in Barnet, and walk toward Brook Farm to connect with the ancient roots of North London.
