Discord keeps picking up all PC sounds

This long-standing issue has existed since the days of Skype, and many outdated solutions online no longer work. In this video, I explain why Discord leaks your desktop audio and walk you through every modern fix that actually works in 2025âincluding the new Discord setting that replaced the old âAudio Subsystem: Standard/Legacyâ option.
We cover USB headsets, analog headsets, Realtek onboard audio, and Discordâs internal audio processing issues. Youâll also learn how audio bloatware (Nahimic, Intel Smart Sound Technology, etc.) can cause sound leakage, and why disabling these devices in Device Manager may help.
