After upgrading to a newer GPU, my onboard Ethernet completely disappeared.
No LAN in Windows. No device in Device Manager. No link lights on the Ethernet port.
Drivers didn’t help. BIOS settings looked correct. The motherboard acted like the network controller no longer existed.
In this video, I show the real cause of the issue and the fixes that actually work.
What you’ll learn:
* Why a GPU upgrade can disable onboard LAN
* How PCIe lane conflicts and BIOS bugs can affect Ethernet
* Why reinstalling drivers usually does NOT solve this problem
* How to reset the NIC with a full power drain
* How disabling and re-enabling LAN in BIOS temporarily restores it
* Why some ASRock motherboards have issues with newer PCIe GPUs
* When a cheap PCIe Ethernet card becomes the best permanent fix
I also cover:
* Fast Startup problems in Windows
* Complete motherboard power reset procedure
* BIOS troubleshooting steps
* PCIe Gen 3 vs Gen 4 compatibility behavior
* USB vs PCIe Ethernet adapters
