As part of the "Egypt Eternal" tour led by Harvard Museum of the Ancient Near East director Peter Der Manuelian, this modern reproduction showcases the Dream Stela of Thutmose IV, the original of which still stands between the paws of the Great Sphinx at Giza. The stela recounts the legendary tale—inscribed in hieroglyphs—of Prince Thutmose IV’s dream in which the Sphinx promised him the throne if he cleared away its sand covering.
