Following its successful debut on the Wireless Micro, Direct Connect is now available via free firmware update for Wireless GO (Gen 3) and Wireless PRO, allowing users to connect directly to iOS devices via Bluetooth® using the RØDE Capture app, no physical receiver required. This dramatically streamlines mobile setups while maintaining the pristine, broadcast-quality audio RØDE’s premium wireless systems are known for.
In this video, we walk through how Direct Connect works, how to enable it via the RØDE Capture app, and how it transforms mobile workflows for creators, filmmakers and content producers.
With Direct Connect, users can:
• Pair Wireless GO (Gen 3) and Wireless PRO transmitters directly to iPhone via Bluetooth®
• Record in merged mode, combining both transmitters into a ready-to-publish stereo track
• Record in split mode, capturing each transmitter on separate channels for post-production flexibility
• Adjust output gain directly within the RØDE Capture app for balanced recordings
• Eliminate the need for additional receivers or adapters in mobile setups
