Electronics has a lot of similarity to the water coming into your home. This video explains the analogy a little more so that you can build confidence in your builds and your wiring!

Voltage is just like the Water Pressure coming into your Tap
Current (measured in Amps!) is a measure of how much Water is flowing.
Resistance (Ohms) is the resistance to the flow of water. higher resistance means less water flows.

I wanted to avoid the math involved. For those of you interested, youtube for "Ohms Law" - that's the easily written math that links Voltage, Current and REsistance. (or in WAter... Pressure = Flow x Resistance).
