The last thing we all need is yet another cookbook; but on this occasion, it fills a distinct gap. That splendid invention, "The Instant Pot" has met its literary match, and for those lucky enough to own this ingenious, flexible and time-saving device (no, this is not a commercial: we loathe and detest all forms of advertising), "Dinner in an Instant" should be our constant companion. Using the author's 75 recipes as a springboard - and a highly adaptable one, at that - one's own creativity is sure to follow.
As to its prolific author, Melissa Clark is that Melissa Clark, author of such classics as "In the Kitchen With a Good Appetite" after her New York Times columns of the same name. As such, she is eminently qualified to create these simple, tasty dishes, any one of which is a delight (e.g., for us Brits, "Bread Pudding with Dried Cherries, Kirsch and Creme Anglaise: an even hour from start to finish).
