Improper dumping, lack of segregation and irregular waste clearance are severely affecting the business community in Dimapur’s main town and roadside areas, compounded by public unawareness of health hazards.
The public must adopt source segregation, reduce plastic use and avoid roadside dumping, while the government should enforce regular collection schedules, install community bins and launch awareness campaigns on sanitation and health risks.
