The Dimapur District Football Association (DDFA) announced the Dimapur District Football League-cum-Lt Hejeto Ayemi Memorial Trophy at a press conference on August 27.
The league will be held from September 15 to October 5, at the Dimapur District Sports Council Stadium, featuring eight teams, with the top four advancing to the championship stage. The tournament is sponsored by MLA and Advisor Tovihoto Ayemi under a 15-year agreement. The DDFA also appealed to the government for a football turf, citing concerns over declining participation among players.
