In this video, Moritz Kügler, Product Line Manager Polymer at EOS, will give you an insight in the topic Digital foam in Additive Manufacturing and the three types of foam, we at EOS, are focused on. 🔍
Digital foam is a metamaterial with characteristics similar to foam, but with the capability of digitally tuning each volume pixel for superior characteristics and true customization. We at EOS are focusing on three application of digital foam: Safety, Comfort and Performance. 📖
✅ Safety: Digital foam 3D printed parts are made from one material, eliminating foam interfaces and improving performance.
✅ Comfort: With digital foam, a wider stress-strain band can form, allowing for increased comfort.
✅ Performance: With digital foam, the 3D printed part can contain multiple unique zones, each with mechanical properties tuned separately.
Any more questions? We are happy to answer them in the comments 💬
