Request Playthrough | Part 18: The Beginning of the End
Difficulty: Balanced (Normal)
With much of our loose ends taken care of, we return to meet with Junomon.
Unfortunately, the Titans have struck and they struck hard. The Guardian Palace is attacked and we have to see who is responsible. This has us now heading up the top of a train attacking digimon. If you get hit, you got to do it again. At the end, it's a GranKuwagamon. Locomon runs it over but eventually we have to fight it.
GranKuwagamon is a Mega Digimon. Sadly it's of the Free-type so all we need to do is damage it as much as possible. Afterwards, we head into the temple itself. We face off against Ogremon, Fugamon & Hyogamon. They're after the treasure of the Digital World. So now we need to fight them. Take them down one by one. Use whatever you got to bring the pain to them. By taking one down at a time, you can alleviate the threats. They are all Virus-types so bring Vaccine and take advantage of using AOE attacks like Heaven's Gate.
Once they are dealt with, something else arrives. Titamon. Turns out he's the one behind all of this. He summons Virus digimon to assist. He's after the treasure of the digital world. With a simple strike, he knocks everyone out including Junomon. With her power, she entrusts the treasure to us. Junomon tells us to head back to the human world. She opens a portal. Junomon tells Aegiomon to stay behind to defend the digital world. But Titamon is after them too. She tells him what he should be doing. The answer's simple. Protecting Inori and keeping his promise. This infuriates Junomon. She seems him as the Great Guardian, the hero of the digital world. Angered by this, she unleashes a dark blast that swallows up everyone. Inori, the Agent and Aegiomon get swallowed by the vortex, along with the treasure.
The digimon head after it. The three thankfully reunite and return to the real world. Sadly they're empty handed because the treasure was lost. So all we can do now is return to the human world. Aegiomon's determination to protect Inori causes him to evolve. He becomes Aegiochusmon.
In the human world, digimon have invaded and are attacking. Pegasusmon thankfully saves them and lands on the ground below. He explains that there's trouble so now they got to move. The treasure is far so now they need to move. So we move, dealing with rogue digimon along the way. The public safety officers are there too with their own plans. But it seems Dr. Simmons wants us to do something for her. This means delivering stuff to agents to protect Shinjuku. It's a lot to work you know.
Part 19 is where we face Titamon again and things go from bad to worse.
