Drayton Manor’s “Big Restart” was meant to mark a fresh start for the 2026 season… but after visiting on opening weekend, it was clear the park wasn’t quite ready.
With multiple rides closed, breakdowns throughout the day, and ongoing maintenance still visible across the park, I wanted to find out whether this was just opening day teething issues… or something bigger.
In this vlog, I take you around Drayton Manor to see:
• Which rides were actually open
• How operations were running on the day
• Whether queue times and reliability were where they should be
• And ultimately… whether the “Big Restart” delivered
I also share my honest thoughts on whether the park’s extended Christmas operations may have impacted their ability to prepare for the new season.
Was this just bad timing… or were they simply not ready?
