ROAAr hosts artist Myriam Dion. Dion shares about her artistic practice. Handmade, dexterity, craftsmanship, ornamentation and pattern would be the words to best describe her practice. Through her work, she commits to restoring the dignity of traditional manual labor, recovering the essence of the labor it involves and praising artisanal virtuosity. This deep motivation encourages her to push back the material limits of the paper medium. Her most recent projects entail altering, cutting up, and weakening old newspapers, transforming them into stunning works of art.
