Track B: Eating Well Together: Developing Partnerships for a Local Food Economy. Session 3: Developing Partnerships to Build Local Food Systems. Slide presentations and additional conference information is available at sare.org/Events/Our-Farms-Our-Future-Conference.

In this session, hear from three individuals that work with organizations working to build strong, local food systems. Key points include: how to combine the traditional and the modern to engage Tribal agricultural educators and community members in an Indigenous farm to table model; how increasing communication between stakeholders in the food community can result in more relevant and desirable cultivars; how to strengthen local farmers’ access to markets through a cooperative approach.
