Bedrock Lasers adds a legitimate and balanced way to drill a hole through the bedrock ceiling in the Nether. This way you do not have to mess around with glitchy ender pearls and dark oak trees any more.
The module can be installed using a One Click Command or via MCEdit (links under DOWNLOAD LINKS). Once installed in the spawn chunks, you can use the module freely in your world. It is wise to first run "/gamerule commandBlockOutput false" to prevent the command blocks spamming the console.
