Here's an ad for Sci-Fi Channel's premiere of "Destroy All Monsters" on January 20, 1996. "Destroy All Monsters" was originally released by American International in 1969. Dubbed by Titan Productions, this version was popular with American fans throughout the '70s and '80s, and although it was never legitimately released on home video, it was frequently shown in syndication. By the '90s, however, the film had mostly disappeared from television and it was the only classic Godzilla film not released on American home video.
The Sci-Fi Channel had negotiated the rights for this film and for "Godzilla vs. Hedorah" with Toho, and although the films would now be shown uncut and in widescreen, the familiar dubbing fans had been hearing for twenty-five years had been replaced by Toho's international versions. This international version of the film was released on home video by ADV in 1998. The original Titan Productions dub remained unreleased on home video until Media Blasters included it in its 2011 DVD and Blu-Ray release.
