Today we're making quite possibly the deepest of Nihon Falcom deep cuts and revisiting a rare song that once appeared in the 2015 GaMetal SNES Medley!

Almost 8 years ago, I started my Patreon campaign (still going strong, come join us! patreon.com/jonnyatma). By the years end, I had a decent handful of about 30+ Patrons, so I decided to make a gigantic Super Nintendo Medley and let all of them submit songs to be in the medley.
One of those songs, "Destiny", was actually from a Japan exclusive Super Famicom game called Popful Mail, a neat platformer developed by Nihon Falcom (who, as we should all know by now, puts out some top tier game OSTs) that we never got for the SNES here in the west.
It did, however, receive a translated Sega CD port... but this song isn't part of that soundtrack for some reason. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
..but that doesn't mean it can't be a part of GaMetal history. Enjoy!

Ive had this song on the backburner for an eternity.
We recently held our latest GaMetal Discord Request Battle (discord link below!), which was themed NESs Revenge, inspired by the NES Medleys extremely low vote count from the recent community polls where I asked you all which old console medleys youd like to see return.
For that battle, GaMetal Discorders were able to submit their most wanted NES songs in an initial qualifier round. The top 4 were then put into a mini tournament, facing off against each other until a winner was crowned.
Kraid came in at the #4 spot and managed to win the entire thing, beating out both Dr Wilys Castle (MM2) and Title Theme (Solstice).
Ive based this arrangement mostly on the versions from Metroid: Zero Mission and SSB Melee, with a hint of the SSBU version (which is outstanding, but I didnt really want to just make a soundalike version of it).
Finally, I dont have to make the its another Metroid song that isnt Kraid joke anymore.

If you were to guess the #1 most requested song from the 2021 GaMetal Song Ballot, you might have expected Mario. Maybe Kirby. Possibly even something like Persona. Or perhaps you didnt know the ballot closed in May so you just assumed it was the currently hot request Big Shot! from Fatal Fury 3.
But in actuality, an underdog rose to the occasion this year: The Legend of Heroes.
With even more votes than God Shattering Star in 2020, The Azure Arbitrator from The Legend of Heroes: Ao no Kiseki, now holds the spot as the most requested GaMetal Song Ballot request to date.
So here it is, all 8+ minutes of the final boss theme from Trails to Azure!
I based this arrangement on both the original version and the Ao no Kiseki Evolution version.
