It was only a matter of time, right?
I had actually planned for this to be the 2023 Finale, but the last day of the month crept on to me a little quicker than I had anticipated, so I decided to end it with Serpent instead (which still fit quite nicely as a finale song).
There are still numerous Super Mario RPG songs that I'd like to do soon, so don't fear SMRPG fans, this may be the final battle... but it's not the end! 😉

Ive had this song on the backburner for an eternity.
We recently held our latest GaMetal Discord Request Battle (discord link below!), which was themed NESs Revenge, inspired by the NES Medleys extremely low vote count from the recent community polls where I asked you all which old console medleys youd like to see return.
For that battle, GaMetal Discorders were able to submit their most wanted NES songs in an initial qualifier round. The top 4 were then put into a mini tournament, facing off against each other until a winner was crowned.
Kraid came in at the #4 spot and managed to win the entire thing, beating out both Dr Wilys Castle (MM2) and Title Theme (Solstice).
Ive based this arrangement mostly on the versions from Metroid: Zero Mission and SSB Melee, with a hint of the SSBU version (which is outstanding, but I didnt really want to just make a soundalike version of it).
Finally, I dont have to make the its another Metroid song that isnt Kraid joke anymore.
