It's time for Warlord's Ruin.
This dungeon is great. In contrast with Ghosts of the Deep, where you'd get turnbacks along even the intended path, Warlord's Ruin really lets you explore the mountains. In my first runthrough, several times I'd abandon the path looking for opportunities for shenanigans, only to refind the intended path a bit forwards. It really lets you carve your own path in parts.
I don't think we'll be getting to the end from the start without any encounters, but you can go nearly anywhere from a 2nd boss checkpoint, so I'd recommend getting one of those if you'd like to go exploring.
Thanks to Elite, Eater of Crayons, for exploring with me, and Slompy for sending me that second encounter hole. It was rather useful.
