The end has finally come for Destiny 2.
According to multiple reports citing Bloomberg, Bungie is planning significant layoffs, active development on Destiny 2 is winding down, and Destiny 3 is reportedly not in active development.
While Destiny 2 will reportedly remain online and playable, Bungie is ending major content support after its final update.
And honestly?
Even as someone who was always more of a Destiny player than a Destiny 2 player… this still feels incredibly sad.
Because at its peak, Destiny was one of the most magical multiplayer gaming experiences ever made.
Vault of Glass raids.
Trials of Osiris weekends.
Late-night strikes with friends.
The mystery of exploring the Cosmodrome for the first time.
