Enemies Introduced:
E-Bandit - A very annoying new melee type, they also inflict damage to your energy banks on hit. Unlike the Diamond Claws they at least don't have the energy-based plasma counter attack, so one can helix them at point blank with impunity, but they can still block your path, push you around, and soak up a deceptive amount of damage for their somewhat small frame.
Omega Defense - These little pufferfish explode on contact with a wide blast radius, inflicting hefty damage and MASSIVE knockback. This knockback can be exploited for damage boosting in some cases, but the opportunities are few and far between. It also introduces a mine-laying variant, which move EXTREMELY quickly and erratically, and which happen to hold all the access keys in this level. Be very cautious around these, especially ones that can lay Smart Mines.
Miniboss - A reskin of the level 4 boss, these are significantly less of a threat than their early-game counterpart, but still quite tanky and threatening for a common enemy type. With Phoenix Cannons and Mercury Missiles, they're essentially a Smelter and Seeker combined. Don't let them scare you too much though - their large hitbox makes them very easy to burst down quickly with the Helix Cannon, and their very slow movement speed makes them easy to maneuver around.
This level also features the first use of shotclipping, a bug that can be done with Quad Lasers or the Fusion Cannon. Shotclipping can be done in the Red Key area for a shorter route with fewer enemies.
Very dangerous level, arguably the hardest in the run. Practice this one a lot!
